Job Description
We seek a business development manager who will drive revenue growth by identifying new market opportunities, acquiring high-value clients, and building strategic partnerships. Your role will involve significant interaction with tech startups, SMEs, and international markets.
Job Responsibilities
- Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities, market trends, and competitive landscape.
- Develop and implement business development strategies to achieve revenue targets and expand market presence.
- Identify, target, and acquire new clients to generate revenue.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive sales process, including prospecting, lead generation, qualification, and conversion.
- Organize and conduct client interviews to ascertain client needs, budget, authority, timeline, and qualify leads.
- Prepare and present compelling proposals highlighting Valueklip's services' value proposition to prospects and partners.
- Identify opportunities and establish partnerships to export tech talents from Africa to target markets.
- Attend industry events to network and showcase Valueklip's offerings and build a clientele base.
- Identify and partner with accelerator and incubator programs, venture studios, co-working spaces, consulting firms, technology resellers, industry associations, etc., to introduce Valueklip to their existing client networks.
- Achieve and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
- Collaborate with the customer success department to develop and manage client accounts.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and industry partners.
- Monitor, analyze and present accurate performance reports to relevant internal stakeholders.
Eligibility Requirements
- A passion for technology and a strong desire to contribute to Valueklip's mission of empowering businesses.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in B2B software sales, with a proven track record of exceeding sales targets and achieving revenue growth.
- Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle and the challenges businesses face in today's dynamic market.
- Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivated, result-oriented, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong research and analytical skills and the ability to interpret and utilize data to drive sales performance.
- Experience in dealing with international clients and markets, particularly in Australia, the United Kingdom, Canada, and the United States.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
- Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot).
