Role: Global Operations Engineer
Location: New York, NY
Duration: Long Term Contract
Responsibilities:
- Provide Level 1 & 2 support to various middle and back-office applications (IPM, IOM, Gloss, Swift, BPSA, PMC, Algo, OWS etc)
- Manage the minor enhancement requests as prioritized by business and deploy into production following the Change management cycle.
- Work on service requests using the Incident / Problem / Service management workflow, raised by business users and provide resolution.
- Work closely with SME's on any such requests as per the needs.
- Work independently and represent status on different tasks with SME s.
- Implement methods for continually improving the support systems/processes.
- Provide application and system monitoring
- Handle Change Management
- Provide release management services
- Perform fail-over and manage disaster recovery activities.
Skills:
Experience With
- Production Support / Dev Ops / SRE (Min 4 years of experience, adjust as payrole/grade)
- Various RDBMS (Oracle, MS SQL Server, Sybase etc)
- Batch Job Schedulers (TWS / Autosys )
- Scripting (Unix/Linux, Perl, PowerShell).
- ServiceNow
- Informatica
- DevOps
- Experience with BI tool such as Qlikview / Qliksense
- Financial Services Industry
Other Requirements:
- Excellent analytical skills.
- Able to function effectively as a member of a team.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Collaborate with various individuals/teams to find resolution to the problem.
- Willing to learn
- Bachelor s degree, preferably in Computer Science or Engineering or any other relevant technical skills.
