Interview process – 1 interview – 1 hour long will have Charlie and 2 of his engineers on the call. They will ask the candidate to create a Terraform module and they want it reusable.
Summary:
The Engineer, Cloud III will design, deploy, and manage large scale complex cloud infrastructure solutions that meet our business needs. You will be responsible for developing technical strategies to meet business objectives and ensure that cloud infrastructure aligns with industry standards and best practices. You will mentor Cloud Engineers Level I and II to deliver high-quality services and solutions to our business.
Essential Job Functions:
- Design, deploy and manage large-scale cloud infrastructure solutions using cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud.
- Develop technical strategies that meet business objectives, considering performance, security, and budget.
- Mentor Cloud Engineers Level I and II, providing technical guidance and support.
- Collaborate with the Development, DevOps, and Security teams to ensure that cloud infrastructure is optimized for application performance and security.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory compliance standards and industry best practices.
- Conduct architecture review and assessments of cloud infrastructure solutions.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging cloud technologies and trends and recommend adoption where appropriate.
- Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
Education and/or Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or a related field; or equivalent years’ experience in system administration, engineering, or cloud operations role.
- Five (5) + years’ experience system administration, engineering, or cloud operations role.
- Experience supporting production workloads\services primarily in AWS and secondary Azure Platforms.
- Experience with the deployment and use of instrumentation, monitoring and logging systems.
- Experience in diagnosing and trouble-shooting complex production issues.
- Proficiency in provisioning and configuring infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code tools using Terraform and CloudFormation.
- Responsible for writing and reviewing codes and also contributing to all technical discussions.
- Some containerization and container orchestration expertise with technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, and ECS\EKS.
- Strong expertise of the DevOps culture, practices, and tools.
- The ability to review and provide input on cost optimizing of AWS and Azure cloud platforms.
- Ability to create highly available, secure, cost effective and performant auto-scaling systems.
- Strong ownership, urgency, and drive to launch and maintain services.
- Excellent communication, prioritization, and analytical skills.
- Mentor and provide guidance to team members.
- Advanced degree in Computer Science or an Engineering discipline, preferred.
- Familiarity with common identity services, constructs, and protocols, such as IAM, OAuth, OpenID, AD DS, LDAP, ADFS, and SAML, preferred.
- High degree of knowledge of networking concepts and experience with Software-Defined Networking, preferred.
- Understanding of network security including firewalls, WAF, IDS, IPS, and DDoS protection, preferred.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
AWS SysOps Administrator, AWS DevOps Engineer, and AWS Advanced Networking Specialty certifications a plus.
Sr. DevOps Engineer GJ

Summary:
The Sr. DevOps Engineer will have a strong background in AWS cloud services, extensive experience with CI/CD platforms (including GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or CircleCI), and demonstrated leadership skills. This role is not only expected to leverage a deep knowledge of cloud infrastructure, API management, and foundational machine learning integration but also lead architecture discussions and champion best practices to enhance our systems' efficiency, security, and scalability.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Automation and Management: Architect, automate, and manage our AWS cloud infrastructure using services such as EC2, RDS, EKS, IAM, CloudFormation and Terraform, creating robust, scalable environments.
Lead Architectural Discussions: Facilitate and lead discussions on automation, CI/CD, and DevOps strategies, ensuring the adoption of innovative and efficient practices.
CI/CD Pipeline Development: Design and implement CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and Jenkins, optimizing software delivery and ML model deployments.
API Gateway Management: Secure and manage API gateways, focusing on efficient traffic management, security policies, and deployment automation.
Collaborative Integration: Work closely with development and ML teams, supporting and monitoring the operational deployment of ML models for seamless production integration.
Optimization and Efficiency: Employ Terraform for infrastructure as code (IaC) practices and utilize container tools such as ECS, Kubernetes, ensuring scalable infrastructure provisioning and efficient deployment.
Leadership in Automation: Drive system management and application deployment automation using Ansible or Shell scripting, setting configuration management best practices.
Champion Security and Compliance: Ensure the highest standards of system security and compliance, emphasizing best practices in access control and network security.
Knowledge Sharing: Leverage industry best practices and share knowledge within the team to foster a culture of continuous improvement and learning. Also coach and mentor Team Members on best practices.
Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field
10+ years of DevOps and cloud infrastructure management experience.
Proficiency in AWS cloud services, infrastructure automation (CloudFormation, Terraform), CI/CD (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, CircleCI), and container tools/orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker, ECS).
Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to lead architecture discussions, mentor team members, and drive the adoption of best practices in DevOps.
Solid understanding of API management and administration, with a willingness to support ML integration projects.
Strong communication skills, with proficiency in Python and Bash scripting.
Relevant certifications in AWS, Kubernetes, showcasing expertise in critical areas.
