Immigrant Buddies is a social impact startup venture that connects new immigrants with Buddies (local friends and mentors) who help them adjust to life in America. We are building a web platform where immigrants and Buddies can connect, and we are currently running a manual program before its launch.
Overview: Immigrant Buddies is seeking a proactive and results-driven Volunteer Marketing Coordinator to help us achieve our primary goal: increasing the number of immigrants and Buddies who sign up for our manual Buddy program and our upcoming tech product. This role focuses on supporting and executing targeted marketing activities that directly lead to user signups, particularly within immigrant communities.
Responsibilities:
Support Marketing Strategy & Planning:
- Assist in developing and executing marketing plans.
- Identify and prioritize marketing activities that increase user registrations.
Digital Marketing Execution:
- Manage and grow our social media presence by creating and sharing content.
- Assist in planning and running targeted paid advertising campaigns (e.g., Google Ads, Facebook Ads).
- Implement basic SEO strategies to improve the visibility of our signup pages and drive organic traffic.
Community Engagement & Networking:
- Leverage your connections within immigrant communities to actively promote the Immigrant Buddies program and tech product.
- Network within these communities to generate word-of-mouth referrals and build trust.
Direct Outreach:
- Coordinate and execute email marketing campaigns that are specifically tailored to convert leads into signups for our program and product.
- Assist in attending or organizing events (online or offline) to gather signups.
Budget Management Support:
- Assist in tracking marketing expenses, ensuring that all activities are cost-effective.
- Help create and optimize a marketing budget to focus on activities that deliver the highest return.
Analytics & Reporting:
- Track and report on the performance of marketing activities and conversion rates.
- Provide insights and actionable suggestions to improve marketing efforts and increase registrations.
Qualifications:
- Some experience in digital marketing, social media management, or community outreach.
- Strong connections within immigrant communities and an understanding of how to effectively engage and convert these audiences.
- Good organizational and multitasking skills.
- Basic familiarity with tools like Google Ads, Facebook Ads Manager, and Google Analytics is a plus.
- A passion for social impact and a strong commitment to helping immigrants integrate into their new communities.
- Ability to work collaboratively and take initiative.
- Ability to work remotely for at least 10 hours per week and attend in-person events as needed.
