Location Requirement: Candidate MUST be in Cincinnati, OH, and be available to work in the downtown office on a hybrid schedule (on-site Mon, Tues, Weds, remote Thurs & Fri.)
We are seeking a detail-oriented Data Analyst for a 6-month W-2 contract-to-hire position. You will play a critical role in maintaining and developing business reporting functions, transforming large datasets, and providing data-driven insights.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with the maintenance of daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly business reporting functions.
- Gather Retail Operations data from multiple databases, platforms, stakeholders, and 3rd party vendors for analysis.
- Transform large data sets through data wrangling, exploratory data analysis, and predictive modeling.
- Leverage Power BI (and other data visualization tools) to build and maintain custom reports and dashboards to reveal trends and correlations.
- Implement row-level security in Power BI (and other tools) for secured viewing of reports based on job levels and locations.
- Identify opportunities to enhance reporting capabilities and improve processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data needs for executing strategic objectives and initiatives.
- Identify and communicate data-related issues and recommendations to the business owner, manager, and team.
- Provide data insights and solutions to leaders to drive decision-making.
Requirements:
- Proficient in R (data cleaning, performing calculations on large datasets, performing exploratory data analysis) and occasional use of Python.
- Strong expertise in Power BI, especially with DAX, Power Query, Dataflows, Row-Level Security (RLS), and writing measures with DAX.
- A great eye for visualization and a focus on user experience—our team prioritizes making reports visually appealing and user-friendly.
- Experience in standardizing and solidifying data processes and quality.
- Ability to problem-solve and investigate issues while participating in system testing across multiple feature and component teams.
- Experience in Agile Project Management, including completing estimates and work plans in Program Increments (PI) meetings.
