Job Overview
This role plays a crucial part in supporting our mission by planning and executing targeted marketing communications. The focus is on optimizing the member experience, maximizing event and professional development revenue, boosting engagement, and achieving membership renewal goals. Utilizing all strategically relevant channels—web, email, social media, direct mail, and others—you will collaborate closely with various teams to create a seamless member experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategies to maximize member engagement and retention, and drive revenue growth.
- Plan and execute cross-channel marketing campaigns, including email, social media, web, digital advertising, and direct mail.
- Manage social media by developing and executing the organization's strategy to grow our presence and engage with the audience.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and execute a member experience strategy that drives engagement and retention.
- Create high-quality content by writing and editing copy, managing creative development, and supervising freelance designers.
Additional Responsibilities
- Create and maintain processes for listening to and responding to members and subscribers across channels. Develop and execute automated lead nurturing and engagement campaigns.
- Achieve revenue and registration goals for annual conferences, events, and classes.
- Supervise and collaborate with the Marketing Coordinator to develop and implement a system for effectively responding to and engaging with our online audience.
- Manage audiences and segmentation in HubSpot, creating personalized and targeted messaging, and utilize dynamic content and automation where applicable.
- Work closely with the Growth Marketing Manager to gain and convert new membership, event, and professional development leads.
- Improve marketing effectiveness and conversion rates through continuous testing, tracking, and optimization across channels.
Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience in marketing, with a focus on member or customer engagement and retention.
- Active HubSpot certification with 2+ years of hands-on experience.
- Strategic, creative, and data-driven mindset.
- Strong working knowledge of common digital marketing tactics, tools, and systems, including Google Analytics, social media, and CMS/blogging platforms (ideally WordPress). Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud.
- Strong creative and exemplary writing skills with top-notch attention to detail and editing/proofreading skills.
- Experienced in both marketing and consuming content on all major social media platforms.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent personal communication skills necessary for thriving in a remote environment.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

- Nice to have: Experience with video creation and editing.
