We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Writer (Public Affairs) to join our team. The Senior Writer will play a crucial role in crafting a variety of content, including speeches, high-level talking points, op-eds, and other journalistic pieces. This position requires exceptional writing abilities, a keen eye for detail, and the capacity to distill complex government information into clear, compelling communications for the public
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in communications, Journalism, English, Political Science, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred
Experience:
- At least 7 years of professional writing experience, with a focus on high-level government or public sector communications
Skills:
- Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a strong portfolio of relevant work
- Ability to translate complex technical and policy information into clear and engaging content for a general audience
- Strong understanding of public diplomacy and media relations
- Excellent research skills with the ability to synthesize information from various sources
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with content management systems
- Portfolio and Writing Samples is preferred
