We're looking for a Cyber Security Analyst to join our team! In this role, you'll work alongside IT professionals and business partners to protect Larimer County's digital assets, ensuring they remain secure, reliable, and accessible.

Responsibilities
Specifically, in this role, you will:
- Configure and manage security tools to ensure they're running at their best.
- Keep an eye on security alerts from internal systems and external intelligence feeds, and take action when needed.
- Work closely with colleagues across different departments to provide valuable security insights and guidance.
- Partner with IT staff to exchange knowledge and integrate security best practices with business needs.
- Follow our ITIL-based processes to manage tasks, incidents, projects, and documentation.
- Stay on top of threat intelligence from various sources, evaluating and acting on relevant information.
- Balance a mix of strategic and day-to-day tasks, ensuring priorities are clear and workload is managed effectively.

We’re Looking For Someone Who Brings
- A strong grasp of cybersecurity frameworks and their core principles.
- A deep understanding of network architecture, protocols, and related monitoring and analysis tools.
- Practical experience with a variety of cybersecurity tools.
- Skills in penetration testing and techniques to identify and fix security vulnerabilities.
- Excellent analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving skills.
- A collaborative mindset and adaptability in dynamic environments.
- Certifications like CISSP, Security+, CySA+, or CEH.
Qualifications
All candidates will be screened for the following required minimum qualifications. Any candidate who does not meet all of the qualifications listed as required will be eliminated from the process.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent education from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. A combination of certifications, education and/or experience may be substituted on a year-for-year basis if required.

Supplemental Information
This is not a remote work position. Regular in-person attendance is expected during the 6 month probation period.
Must be able to obtain CJIS certification within the first month of work. CJIS certification is required, and any felonies or outstanding warrants will disqualify the candidate.
