What You'll Do
- Collaborate with the IT team to oversee physical database administration, including performance management, security, installations, upgrades, patches, and backup.
- Proactively monitor database performance and capacity, ensuring all environments are optimally managed.
- Maintain robust backup and recovery processes, including disaster recovery performance and tuning.
- Administer database security, roles, and profiles, ensuring strict compliance with industry standards.
- Support critical data and content migration teams, ensuring smooth transitions and integrations.
- Provide on-call support to ensure continuous, reliable operation of the database environment.
What We're Looking For
- Experience: 5-8 years of experience in database administration with a strong focus on SQL (5-6 years preferred).
- Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.
- Technical Expertise: Proven ability to handle database performance tuning, capacity planning, and security management.
- Adaptability: Ability to manage backup and recovery processes and support data migration efforts effectively.
