What You'll Do
- Database Management: Maintain and support MySQL/InnoDB and Redis/KeyDB databases, including creation, migration, backups, and replication.
- Design and Implementation: Design and deploy database schemas, and fine-tune performance for scalability and growth.
- Performance Optimization: Review and enhance existing databases, ensuring optimal performance and consistency.
- Documentation: Provide detailed documentation for database schemas, relationships, performance bottlenecks, and data flows.
- Collaboration: Work with various teams to test and implement database tools and software.
- Automation: Implement system automation for efficiency and streamline operational tasks.
- Security: Stay up-to-date with security best practices and apply them accordingly.
- Troubleshooting: Resolve database performance issues and handle customer-reported problems.
Who You Are
- Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience with MySQL/MariaDB database management and data modeling, especially in Linux environments.
- Skills: Proficient in database concepts, design, and performance tuning. Strong troubleshooting skills and knowledge of storage, networking, and monitoring systems like Grafana and Prometheus.
- Scripting: Skilled in system scripting and automation using tools like Ansible, Chef, or Terraform, with solid experience in Python, Ruby, Bash, or Perl.
- Education: BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Additional Qualities: Strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and flexibility to work various shifts.
