What You'll Do
As a
Data Integration Specialist at ZBeta, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining data integration processes to ensure the seamless flow of data across different systems and platforms. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, transform & load data, and support data-driven decision-making within the organization, providing critical support for ZBeta's operations. This role requires a passion for technology, a methodical mindset, analytical problem-solving skills, and meticulous attention to detail.
The ideal candidate should also be self-motivated, take initiative, and work independently, with the ability to overcome challenges by leveraging their resources and experience to drive projects to successful completion.

Position Responsibilities
The essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
Data Integration Design
- Develop data integration strategies and solutions that align with organizational goals and objectives.
- Design data pipelines, workflows, and ETL processes to move and transform data.
Data Source Evaluation
- Assess data sources, both internal and external, to determine their quality, relevance, and compatibility with existing systems.
- Identify data gaps and recommend data acquisition strategies.
ETL Development
- Build, maintain, and optimize ETL processes using tools and technologies such as SQL, Python, Apache Spark, Talend, Informatica, or similar platforms.
- Ensure data accuracy and consistency during the transformation and loading process.
Data Mapping and Transformation
- Create data mapping documents that define how data should be transformed and integrated across different systems.
- Apply data cleansing, enrichment, and validation techniques as needed.
Data Quality Management
- Implement data quality checks and validation routines to monitor and improve data accuracy.
- Identify and resolve data anomalies, duplicates, and inconsistencies.
Integration Testing
- Develop and execute test plans to validate the functionality and performance of data integration processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data accuracy and reliability.
Documentation
- Maintain comprehensive documentation for data integration processes, including data flow diagrams, process workflows, and metadata descriptions.
- Ensure documentation is up-to-date and accessible to relevant stakeholders.
Collaboration
- Work closely with key stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver integrated data solutions that meet their needs.
Project Management
- Manage all aspects of the development and deployment of data integration solutions, including project planning, resource allocation, risk management, and ensuring timely delivery of high-quality results.
- Collaborate with teams to ensure seamless implementation and operation of integrated systems.
Monitoring and Maintenance
- Monitor data integration jobs and processes, proactively identifying and addressing issues and bottlenecks.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting to ensure data pipelines run smoothly.
Technical Support
- Provide technical support to end-users, including problem diagnosis, resolution, and comprehensive documentation.
- Own troubleshooting efforts, utilizing problem-solving skills to address software issues.
Requirements
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
Experience: Minimum 4 years of relevant experience. Experience in integrating with external APIs and web services to fetch or push data.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience required. Relevant certifications in data integration tools or technologies, such as certifications from ETL tool vendors or cloud service providers preferred.
Knowledge
- Knowledge of OAuth, RESTful APIs, and API authentication mechanisms.
- Proven experience in data integration, ETI, development and data warehousing.
- Strong understanding of data modeling concepts and database management systems (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL).
- Demonstrated knowledge of data governance, data quality, and data security best practices.
Skills
- Highly proficient in PowerBI. Certification preferred.
- Proficient with Microsoft SQL Server Express and Standard versions 2019 and 2022.
- Proficient with Microsoft Azure SQL.
- Experience integrating Power Automate with other Microsoft tools and platforms for seamless data exchange and automation.
- Experience managing data integration projects, including project planning, resource allocation, and adherence to deadlines.
- Experience with Workato for automating workflows and integrating applications preferred.
- Microsoft Certifications are a plus.
