Work Schedule: Ally designates roles as (1) fully on-site, (2) hybrid, or (3) fully remote. Hybrid roles are generally expected to be in the office a certain number of days per week as indicated by your manager. As part of the Ally Tech Labs team, the Software Engineer explores and experiments with cutting-edge technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI) frameworks like LangChain. The Software Engineer develops proofs-of-concept and prototypes to assess the potential of these emerging technologies for enhancing new and existing marketing products or creating new AI-powered solutions.
The successful candidate will contribute to the design, development, testing, and support of innovative marketing software solutions and enhancements. They will collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications. They will code and debug new features and functionalities to improve user experience and drive customer engagement.
The Software Engineer stays up-to-date with industry trends and attends relevant conferences / meetups to identify opportunities for leveraging AI capabilities. They ensure software quality through rigorous testing, debugging processes, and adherence to the best practices in AI development and deployment.
The Work Itself
- Contribute to software engineering efforts to deliver well-defined products that generate immediate customer value and deliver high-quality, broadly applicable software contributions
- Participate in DevOps principles practiced by the engineering organization
- Collaborate with other Engineers, Technical Leads, Architects, QA, Performance Testers, Scrum Masters, and Product Owners, along with business stakeholders
- Use technical knowledge, creativity, and company practices and priorities to obtain solutions to complex problems
- Interface with senior management to provide and obtain information and to build consensus regarding project direction; escalate issues to senior management early, before they create significant impact to a project / release
- Ensure that detailed design documentation is competed, reviewed, and approved, as required
- Conduct or participate in code review sessions to ensure quality and performance
- Participate and contribute to innovation workshops and hackathons
- Support system integration and user acceptance testing resources; provide timely defect analysis, remediation, and reporting
Skills
The Skills You Bring
- 1-3+ years of experience with technologies used within aligned function to engineer solutions. Examples include but are not limited to React.js/Next.js, Node, AWS, Terraform, CSS, Tailwind, etc.
- Bachelor’s degree in technical discipline, preferred
- Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as GIT
- Familiarity with AI / GenAI technologies, preferred
- Ability to thoroughly understand the business issues surrounding each project and to communicate with business stakeholders

Base Pay Range: $65000 - $115000 USD
An individual's position in the range is determined by the specific role, the scope and responsibilities of the role, work experience, education, certification(s), training, and additional qualifications. We review internal pay, the competitive market, and business environment prior to extending an offer.
Incentive Compensation: This position is eligible to participate in our annual incentive plan.
