Overview
The Senior Project Manager - Financial Systems plays a crucial role in overseeing the planning, execution, and delivery of financial system projects within the organization. This role is instrumental in driving the successful implementation of financial system initiatives and ensuring alignment with the organization's strategic objectives. The Senior Project Manager will lead a team, collaborate with key stakeholders, and effectively manage resources to drive project success.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and manage the end-to-end project lifecycle for financial system projects, from initiation to closure.
- Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
- Develop comprehensive project plans, timelines, and budgets, ensuring adherence to financial constraints.
- Coordinate resource allocation, task assignment, and progress tracking to ensure timely project delivery.
- Manage and mitigate project risks effectively, addressing issues and obstacles to ensure project success.
- Oversee the implementation and integration of financial systems, ensuring alignment with business requirements.
- Provide regular project updates and reports to senior management and stakeholders, highlighting progress and key milestones.
- Lead, mentor, and coach project team members, fostering a high-performance and collaborative work environment.
- Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Monitor and control project budget, expenses, and financial resources, ensuring optimal utilization.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Information Technology, or related field; Master's degree is a plus.
- PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent project management certification is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in project management, with a focus on financial system implementations and enhancements.
- Demonstrated expertise in leading complex financial system projects, including ERP, budgeting, reporting, and forecasting systems.
- Proven track record in managing large-scale projects with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of financial processes, industry regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide project teams effectively.
- Proficiency in risk management, change management, and quality assurance practices within project environments.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management capabilities.
- Proficient in project management tools and software, including Microsoft Project, JIRA, or equivalent platforms.
