Summary
This position is designed to provide exceptional service and support to our managed care customers through both verbal and written communication. Acting as the primary liaison, you will engage with members and the plan, ensuring a seamless experience.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Facilitate member and provider understanding of plan coverage and benefits by efficiently researching inquiries.
- Record all customer interactions, both verbal and written, in the current MIS system.
- Assist in training and retraining new and current employees.
- Maintain accurate documentation of all telephone contacts, walk-in customers, and mail inquiries to ensure a clear audit trail for reporting purposes.
- Handle all incoming calls and make outgoing calls as needed to resolve issues or questions.
- Triage phone requests to other areas such as Utilization Management and Provider Relations.
- Manage incoming written correspondence in a timely and professional manner.
- Possess an excellent understanding of benefits, products, and other healthcare or insurance issues relevant to customers (internal and external).
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills and knowledge of the MIS system, including Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
Requirements
- High School Diploma
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in healthcare.
- Education documentation is required for submission.
- Local candidates preferred.
- Work location: 5101 N. O’Connor Blvd, Irving TX 75039, Monday-Friday, 8 hours.
