Description
We are looking for a detail-oriented individual with exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal. If you excel at multitasking, problem-solving, and can work independently with a high degree of accuracy, we would love to hear from you. The ideal candidate is highly organized, thrives under pressure, and is familiar with Computer Help Desk functions and software license tracking. While a current security clearance is preferred, it is not a dealbreaker.
Key Responsibilities
- Support and Maintenance: Serve as the main point of contact for staff, providing timely support and maintenance for their office computing environments.
- Help Desk Coordination: Handle Help Desk calls and tickets, coordinating with other IT Technical staff when necessary to ensure swift resolution.
- Technical Troubleshooting: Research, configure, install, update, diagnose, repair, and maintain PC hardware, network connectivity, and software to ensure optimal performance.
- User Assistance: Work directly with staff to troubleshoot issues, answer inquiries about software and hardware, and provide end-user support as needed.
- Administrative Support: Maintain IT documentation, assist with data entry, and keep software and hardware tracking databases up to date.
- Reporting: Compile and prepare various reports and documents for management, ensuring accurate and timely delivery.
- Vendor Interaction: Manage software maintenance and support agreements, and liaise with vendors and support services to resolve issues.
Qualifications
- Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is required. An Associate’s degree or equivalent experience in fields such as Computer Systems Management, Information Technology, or IT Helpdesk is preferred.
- Experience: 1+ years of experience in Helpdesk or IT Support, specifically in end-user computing environments, including desktop, laptop, mobile, and cloud.
- Skills: Basic networking, hardware/software installation, and troubleshooting skills are essential. Experience with remote access support is a plus.
- Additional Requirements: A valid and clear driver's license is required. Occasional overtime may be needed on short notice. Hands-on experience with Linux, and Windows 10⁄11 is highly desirable.
