Department Overview
The Resource Planning & Strategy team resides in the Engineering, Planning & Strategy line of business. The primary role of the team is to develop and maintain a single, multi-year view of resource demand across the company that will provide transparency in to needs to meet critical commitments, guide cross prioritization discussions and transparency in to cross functional impacts from future efforts. The team will accomplish this by creating strong partnerships with our functional area partners, understanding opportunities and synergies on how we work and interact cross functionally and offer guidance and subject matter expertise on ways to approach resource planning.
Position Summary
Manages aspects of program implementation and operations. Ensures program is operating effectively.
This position is hybrid, working from your remote office and your assigned work location based on business need. The assigned work location will be within the PG&E Service Territory. Work location will be determined by hiring leader and successful candidate.
PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity.
A reasonable salary range is:
Bay Area Minimum: $140,000
Bay Area Maximum: $238,000
and/or
California Minimum: $133,000
California Maximum: $226,000
Job Responsibilities
- Recognized subject matter expert who represents PG&E in regulatory and/or industry forums on subject of expertise.
- May manage major cross-functional projects and initiatives
- Coaches and mentors less experienced employees
- Solves unique and complex problems, anticipating issues and developing innovative solutions
- Demonstrates strategic leadership with internal stakeholders to support Company goals.
- Leads development of program goals and metrics to meet company goals and objectives. Collaborates across organization to ensure alignment of goals to support program.
- Responsible for utilizing other departments and teams to meet program goals.
- Organize and lead cross-utility project teams to influence utility, regulatory and/or industry decisions.
- Works with executives and senior management to support strategic planning, decision making, and to address high level planning prioritization.
- Leads cross-department continuous process improvement efforts to improve efficiencies and quality.
- May participate in industry benchmarking, seeking ideas and opportunities from other utilities for large scale improvements.
Qualifications
Minimum:
- Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience
- Job-related experience, 10 years
Desired:
- Masters Degree in job-related discipline or equivalent experience
- PMI-Project Management Institute PMP-Project Management Professional certification
