What You’ll Do
This senior leadership position offers exposure across the entire business, influencing the vision and implementation of our Generative AI strategy. You will create impactful solutions for travelers, partners, and external syndication. This can include helping customers plan their perfect trip, book accommodations, engage in experiences, or drive efficiency and effectiveness through the latest advances in Generative AI technologies.
The Head of Generative AI Solutions and Operations is a pivotal role responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive Generative AI data strategy to achieve business objectives. This role involves collaborating with key business stakeholders, data and engineering teams including AI/ML, Analytics, Data Engineering, Data Platform, Engineering, and external vendors/partners to ensure the organization leverages data effectively for informed decision-making. You will drive the growth and success of our practice focused on generative artificial intelligence (AI), requiring a blend of leadership abilities, industry knowledge, and technical expertise to deliver innovative generative AI solutions internally and externally.
What We Are Looking For
You bring a minimum of 10 years of experience in leadership spanning Business Management, Strategy, Operations, and technical areas such as Data Science, Machine Learning, and software engineering. This role offers a great opportunity for professional growth with a leading travel guidance company.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and Implement Strategy: Create and execute a comprehensive growth strategy for the generative AI practice, aligned with overall business objectives. Identify new business opportunities and cultivate relationships with key stakeholders interested in generative AI solutions.
- Develop AI Features and Offerings: Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to define AI vision and goals. Design customized AI strategies and offerings aligned with business objectives, industry trends, and technological advancements.
- Operational Planning: Develop a Gen AI operational plan ensuring robustness, sustainability, and cost-effectiveness. Evaluate buy vs. build options and decide on custom applications versus 3rd party solutions. Define and collaborate with other technology and infrastructure teams to build a Gen AI platform ecosystem.
- Lead Implementation of AI Solutions: Oversee the implementation of AI solutions by working closely with cross-functional teams. Define project scopes, timelines, and deliverables. Ensure seamless integration of AI technologies into existing systems and processes.
- Provide Technical Guidance: Leverage technical expertise and broad experience to provide guidance and direction to senior leadership, colleagues, and staff.
- Evangelize AI Benefits: Educate employees at all levels on the benefits and opportunities associated with generative AI for content creation and production efficiency. Prepare compelling presentation materials and represent the group as an influential authority on the subject, instilling confidence and motivating the organization to take risks and embrace new technologies.
- Develop Partnerships: Collaborate with senior leadership to determine and align initiatives with product, business, and technology strategies. Establish collaboration and support for investment in new technology directions.
- Industry Collaboration: Maintain open collaboration with similar companies and industry bodies involved in media production. Understand and participate in industry-wide production strategies and standard processes.
- Drive AI Transformation: Lead AI transformation initiatives, including change management, training programs, and cultural shifts. Foster a data-driven mindset within organizations and promote the adoption of AI across various departments.
- Stay Current with AI Developments: Continuously research and evaluate emerging AI technologies, frameworks, and methodologies. Keep up with industry trends and advancements to provide up-to-date recommendations.
- Measure and Evaluate: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to track the effectiveness of AI initiatives. Regularly monitor progress, evaluate outcomes, and provide insightful reports to clients.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s or advanced degree in business management, data science, business analytics, computer science, or a related field.
- Experience: Proven experience in developing and implementing data strategies in complex organizational environments.
- Strategic Thinking: Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to create high-level strategy in new business areas.
- Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead and influence at a senior level, collaborate with diverse stakeholders, and drive results in a dynamic environment with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Industry Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of emerging trends in business applications of Data and AI, and the latest developments in technical breakthroughs of AI.
- Change Management: Proven experience in driving cultural and organizational change towards a more data-centric mindset.
- Communication: Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Showcase strong interpersonal, verbal, written, and presentation skills when presenting to partners and collaborators.
- Project Management: Demonstrate ability to provide direction and oversight to ensure project resources are optimized and priorities continually reviewed, ensuring alignment with strategic and business objectives.
