About The Internship
Our internship program offers two sessions: Summer/Fall (June-December) and Winter/Spring (January-May). Interns often choose to stay for multiple sessions, with current interns receiving priority for future opportunities. This hands-on experience integrates you into our team, providing insights into the operations of a successful PR agency. Punctuality, responsiveness, and proactive communication are essential for success in this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Social Media Strategy and Content Management:
- Assist in planning, execution, and management of content across various platforms.
- Help build weekly and monthly editorial calendars to promote client brands effectively.
- Ensure consistency in brand messaging across all social channels.
- Content Creation:
- Create and distribute engaging content such as GIFs, infographics, videos, and photos.
- Support the creative team in designing graphics and producing short-form video content (e.g., reels, TikToks).
- Write compelling social media captions tailored to the target audience.
- Participate in photo and video shoots as needed.
- Community Management:
- Monitor and engage with comments on social media posts, tracking client mentions and tags.
- Utilize social listening to identify high-performing content ideas and trends.
- Actively manage community engagement by responding to comments and direct messages and sourcing user-generated content.
- Creative Brainstorming and Ideation:
- Participate in brainstorming sessions to generate innovative social media campaign ideas.
- Conduct research on competitors and the broader social media landscape to provide actionable insights.
- Suggest new strategies to boost engagement and reach.
- Maintenance of Social Media Links:
- Compile and manage product links for social posts.
- Update “link in bio” sections across platforms to ensure accuracy.
Requirements
- Rising sophomore, junior, or senior
- Previous internship experience in social media marketing is required
- Minimum GPA of 3.0
- Ability to commit to at least 15 hours a week during standard business hours (8-5 in your time zone)
- Strong writing skills and a keen interest in social media trends
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Professional attitude, strong desire to succeed, and willingness to learn and ask questions
Additional Information
Before applying, please check with your college or university career center to confirm eligibility for receiving college credit for this internship, although receiving credit hours is not mandatory for the role. If selected, you will receive a monthly reimbursement of $250 for the use of your personal cell phone, computer, and home internet.
