Description
In this role, you will be instrumental in overseeing and managing client services within our Residential, Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP), and Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP). Your responsibilities will encompass staff development, client admissions and discharges, medication management, oversight of medical procedures, reviewing medical documentation, ongoing supervision of clinical staff, training, and ensuring compliance with regulations. Your expertise in team building and collaboration will be essential in delivering safe and effective clinical services.
Responsibilities
- Manage, monitor, and administer medications according to established policies, ensuring compliance with all medication administration protocols.
- Oversee the verification and reconciliation of medications upon client admission, throughout their stay, and at discharge.
- Co-sign nursing notes and assessments completed by LVN/LPN staff.
- Ensure accurate documentation of all client allergies in the Medication Administration Record (MAR) and the client's chart.
- Audit and monitor controlled substances, maintaining accurate records.
- Oversee nursing policies and procedures related to the plan of care, infection control, Joint Commission standards, and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Communicate relevant nursing updates to the multidisciplinary team daily.
- Actively participate in treatment team meetings, contributing to the client care plan on a weekly basis.
- Ensure that a nurse is present during all doctor sessions to provide support.
- Serve as a liaison between physicians and clients, addressing questions about medication changes, physician appointments, and health-related issues in an understandable manner.
- Complete and delegate daily communication logs and updates on client and general information.
- Manage the nursing schedule efficiently.
- Assist with interviewing, hiring, and onboarding new nursing staff in collaboration with People Operations.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing and a current, active RN license.
- Previous experience in a behavioral health setting is preferred.
- Supervisory experience is a plus.
- Experience as a Charge Nurse or Nurse Manager in a 24-hour treatment center is advantageous.
- Must hold a current CPR certification.
