General Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced PMO Manager to lead and oversee the Project Management Office for our transformation program. This role is integral to driving the success of our multi-branded retail platform as we undergo a significant business transformation. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management, change management, and apparel operations, with the ability to manage complex, cross-functional projects that align with our strategic goals.
Essential Job Functions
• PMO Leadership: Establish and lead the PMO, ensuring that all transformation projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
• Program Management: Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of multiple transformation projects, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.
• Governance & Reporting: Implement governance frameworks, standards, and best practices across all projects. Regularly report on program status, risks, and issues to senior leadership.
• Stakeholder Management: Engage with stakeholders across all levels, including executives, department heads, and external partners, to ensure alignment and effective communication.
• Resource Management: Manage project resources, including allocation, utilization, and capacity planning. Ensure that teams have the necessary tools and support to succeed.
• Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate risks across the transformation program. Proactively manage issues and dependencies to minimize impact on project timelines and outcomes.
• Financial Management: Monitor program budgets and ensure financial accountability. Provide accurate forecasts and track financial performance against budget when needed.
• Change Management: Develop and implement change management strategies to ensure successful adoption of new processes, technologies, and ways of working.
• Continuous Improvement: Drive a culture of continuous improvement within the PMO by implementing lessons learned and promoting best practices in project management.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
• Proven track record in managing large-scale transformation programs, preferably in the apparel / retail industry.
• Strong understanding of apparel strategy and operations, including supply chain, logistics, sales and customer experience.
• Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence and drive change across the organization.
• Proficiency in project management tools and software (e.g. Asana).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on delivering results.
• Project Management Professional (PMP), PRINCE2, or similar certification is highly desirable.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with competing priorities.
Required Education and Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in project management, with at least 2 years in a PMO leadership role.
• MBA or equivalent preferred.
