Position Summary: Engineering Manager
The Engineering manager is responsible for managing and directing the Engineering, programming, and CAD team for all company products. Developing monitoring programs to ensure that all AVDG customer needs are addressed promptly and proactively is a crucial responsibility of the EM. The EM is responsible for ensuring that all technical work generated meets the company's procedures and standards of quality and has ultimate decision-making authority on technical issues. The EM will manage any technical support required for other functional areas within the company (sales, marketing, project development, etc.) along similar matrix lines while interfacing with a designated representative from each area.
Responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to the following:
- The Engineering Manager role requires day to day project and design engineering work with additional leadership responsibilities listed below.
- Provide leadership and direction for planning, organizing, developing, and integrating the technical efforts, including establishment, execution and reporting of departmental systems, goals, schedules, and budgets.
- Continuously maintain the quality and consistency of execution of the company's proprietary technologies and related technical work.
- The Engineering Manager will directly manage the technical personnel to support the needs of a specific project.
- The execution details can be worked out on a project-by-project basis at the discretion and mutual agreement of both parties if the EM upholds the primary responsibility of ensuring the technical integrity of all work and that company resources are utilized productively and efficiently.
- Provide the interface support between Project Management, Engineering, and Installation to insure proper execution of projects.
- Strive to meet individual employee's non-monetary needs for career self-fulfillment (responsibility, specialization, exposure, business environment, etc.) while addressing company needs.
- Perform all administrative duties associated with management of human resources including hiring, firing, employee reviews, promotions, salary negotiations, and taking direct responsibility for the performance and actions of all employees within the department.
- Provide technical support to operations. Troubleshoot operational problems.
- Participate in internal R&D projects.
- Other duties assigned as needed

To join our band, you'll need the following experience:
- CTS-D and/or CTS-I preferred
- 5+ years’ experience in AV systems design
- Strong Verbal and written communication skills
- Previous management role within similar industry
- Formal education in Electronics or related field preferred
- A minimum of 5 years of AV experience plus a four-year degree or military experience may also be considered
- A thorough, demonstrable understanding of systems integration techniques
- Skilled in the use of Computer aided drafting software
- MS Office – able to use Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access proficiently without training
Travel Requirements:
- Occasional travel may be required dependent on business needs
