IT Project Manager Position Description
We are seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to provide comprehensive project management support services to our federal client. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting strategic planning, project tracking, and the development of key documentation and presentations. You will oversee the design, management, enhancement, and modernization of the network infrastructure, ensuring that projects are executed efficiently and effectively. This position offers the opportunity to work with a dedicated team in a high-impact environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead initiatives and assist in the management and tracking of the IT strategic plan, ensuring alignment with the Agency’s objectives.
- Lead and oversee the planning, execution, and completion of IT infrastructure projects, including upgrades and enhancements.
- Provide project management support, including budget/cost analysis, schedule reviews, and contract management.
- Develop, review, and maintain policies, procedures, and work instructions related to IT project management.
- Participate in the creation of program plans and technical reviews, ensuring the successful delivery of IT tasks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the effective integration of technology across physical, virtual, and cloud-based solutions.
- Prepare and present detailed project status reports and documentation to Agency leadership.
Educational Requirements and Required Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related field (Master's preferred).
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in IT project management or a related field.
- Minimum 4 years as a Business Analyst.
- Strong understanding of IT and Cybersecurity capabilities in a Federal infrastructure.
- Proven experience in technology integration, including physical, virtual, and cloud-based solutions.
- Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly. English Fluency is required.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to perform contract analysis and cost estimations.
- Experience developing policies, procedures, and work instructions.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent experience preferred.
- Federal Agency project Management experience is a Plus.
Work Location:
- Remote work is authorized; however, there may be requirements to work on-site at facilities in Washington, DC.
Security Requirements:
- A background check will be conducted by the Federal Agency. No security clearance is required.
Travel:
- Occasional travel may be required based on project needs.
