**Role Overview**
We are seeking an experienced **Administrative Assistant & Bookkeeper** for a full-time independent contractor role based in St Petersburg, FL. This position requires 1-2 days onsite, with the flexibility to work remotely for the remainder of the week. The role involves supporting Skytian Capital and 3-4 of its portfolio companies, providing both administrative and bookkeeping services. You will be supported by team of overseas virtual assistants, as needed.
**Key Responsibilities**
*Bookkeeping Duties:*
- Set up, maintain, and reconcile QuickBooks Online accounts weekly for Skytian and its portfolio companies.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, pay bills, and handle banking tasks.
- Oversee petty cash and manage expense reports.
- Check rent collections and manage related real estate financial tasks such as regular lender, investor reports
- Collaborate with the owner and overseas virtual assistants for support.
*Administrative Duties:*
- Assist the founder with administrative tasks, as needed
- Manage scheduling, vendor management, tenant relations, and guest services.
- Provide general administrative support to ensure smooth operations.
**Qualifications**
- 3-5 years of experience with QuickBooks Online a must, idealy with small fast growing businesses
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, for data entry and financial analysis.
- Strong administrative and clerical skills with a detail-oriented and accurate approach.
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently, owning the scope of work and tasks.
- Comfort and experience working in an entrepreneurial environment, demonstrating adaptability and flexibility.
- Proficiency in using technology and software productivity tools.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous.
**Compensation**
- Base: role pays $35-$50k/year base salary depending on experience
- Bonus: opportunities for cash bonuses tied to performance of Skytian and/or cash/equity bonuses tied to portfolio companies success
