Job Title: Database Administrator - Oracle Apex [On Premise/Cloud]

We are currently seeking candidates who meet the following qualifications
Responsibilities
- Oversee the administration, configuration, and maintenance of Oracle APEX environments, both on-premise and cloud-based.
- Manage Oracle APEX upgrades, patches, and security configurations to ensure optimal performance and compliance with organizational standards.
- Administer Oracle databases, including installation, configuration, performance tuning, and backup/recovery operations.
- Monitor and optimize database performance, ensuring high availability and reliability of data services.
- Support the development and deployment of Oracle APEX applications, assisting developers with database design, query optimization, and troubleshooting.
- Ensure seamless integration between Oracle APEX applications and the underlying database infrastructure.
- Implement and maintain security measures to protect data integrity and prevent unauthorized access to Oracle APEX applications and databases.
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies and industry regulations related to data security and privacy.
- Manage data migration projects, ensuring data consistency and accuracy during transitions between on-premise and cloud environments.
- Integrate Oracle APEX databases with other systems and applications, both within the organization and externally.
- Develop and implement backup and recovery strategies to protect against data loss and ensure business continuity.
- Perform regular database backups and test recovery procedures to validate the effectiveness of disaster recovery plans.
- Monitor database and application performance, identifying and resolving issues to prevent downtime and maintain system efficiency.
- Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues, including performance bottlenecks, data corruption, and connectivity problems.
- Create and maintain documentation for database configurations, security protocols, and operational procedures.
- Provide training and support to team members and end-users on Oracle APEX and database management best practices.

- Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Database Administrator, with specific experience in managing Oracle databases and Oracle APEX environments.
- Proven experience with both on-premise and cloud-based Oracle APEX implementations.
- Technical Skills:
- Strong knowledge of Oracle Database architecture, SQL, PL/SQL, and performance tuning.
- Experience with Oracle APEX administration, including workspace management, security configuration, and application deployment.
- Familiarity with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and other cloud services related to database management.
- Proficiency in database backup, recovery, and disaster recovery planning.
- Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Shell, Python) for automation of database tasks.
- Certifications:
- Relevant certifications such as Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) in Database Administration or Oracle APEX are preferred.
- Soft Skills:
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex database and application issues.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple projects and tasks effectively.
- Education:
- A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
