Operations Data Analyst
Chem-Aqua is the wholly owned water treatment subsidiary of NCH Corporation, a privately owned specialty chemicals, maintenance supplies, and services company with over $1 billion in annual sales. We are currently seeking a highly skilled Operations Data Analyst to manage and measure various aspects of revenue, expenses and quality for analysis of supply chain network improvements. The Data Analyst (DA) is responsible for inspecting, cleaning, transforming, and modeling data with the goal of creating useful information, suggesting conclusions, and supporting decision making. Responsibilities
- Process incoming data from multiple streams
- Follow the existing data model to ensure all data is compliant with the desired formats and content
- Strive for constant improvement, recommending process change for improved results or streamlined process
- Create and generate reports and dashboards through Salesforce.com, MS-Excel, Tableau, and other available software to interface with senior management and internal/external customers
- Data maintenance in Salesforce.com
- Communication with field teams across the US
- Driving program designs based on received data meeting scheduled deadlines
- Participation in cross-functional teams as requested by Divisions
- Set high standards of ethics, accuracy, and commitment to customers and NCH associates
- Other duties as assigned by management
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) in Accounting, Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, or related area; or one to two years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred.
- 1-2+ years of related experience and/or training as a Data Administrator/Business Analyst preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience
- MUST display a sound understanding of business mathematics. Ability to apply concepts of algebra/geometry and statistics.
- MUST have working knowledge of Database; Spreadsheet; Word Processing; and advanced knowledge of MS Office Excel. Experience with Salesforce and/or Tableau is a plus.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardizations exist. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or mathematical form. Cognitive thinking is a must.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills including presentation, communication, and facilitation skills for comprehensive and effective meetings and documents, and for customer service
- Detail-oriented; Results-driven; Ability to apply business and logical sense while understanding and addressing the bigger picture
- A high degree of adaptability as there are a variety of issues on a day-to-day basis and expectations to respond to these issues appropriately and in a timely manner
- Fast learner with an innovative and positive approach
