PLANNER, MEDIA STRATEGY
Haworth seeks a Planner, Media Strategy with strong media experience demonstrating initiative, attention to detail, and implementation of innovative thinking within strategic marketing plans. The Planner will be the lead in providing day-to-day stewardship and be responsible for overall media execution details.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategic Media Planning & Measurement/Reporting
- Accountable for day-to-day flow of media activity, information and timelines
- Assist team in cross-channel, full-funnel strategic media plan development: Media campaign approaches aligned to marketing and comms objectives; channel evaluation and spend allocations; cross-channel plan media deliveries and summaries: R/Fs, impressions, etc.; briefing and communicating with investment teams of tactical plan assignments
- Responsible for ensuring media plans and recommendations meet goals. Including: Facilitate channel communication, assist with deck development inclusive of providing critical thinking and analysis,; lead competitive, target audience deep dives, research and other creative solutions to aid in strategy development; own flowchart and budget workbooks that summarize all planning and activation details; lead weekly pacing as well as monthly and quarterly measurement/reporting outputs across teams and channels
- Responsible for ad logistics and project management to activate campaigns: Creation of detailed plan summary with timelines, asset needs, placements, unit/asset sizes, etc.; communicate with creative and client teams to obtain needed assets for tactical campaigns
- Lead recap of media plans
- Facilitate real-time cross-channel work-sessions for in-campaign reporting/measurement, optimizations, and plan revisions
Internal Communications
- Report into Supervisor & manage up as needed with questions, ideas, and check-ins
- Manage development and training of Assistant, Media Strategy to effectively utilize media resources, and understand & implement media guidelines/procedures
- Responsible to develop & maintain strong working relationship with fellow employees; run point as primary day-to-day contact for channel teams
- Update status doc and lead internal status meetings
Relationships & Service
- Lead day-to-day communication of client updates and circulate documents with teams
Presentation
- Responsible for building strategic and tactical media plan slides with Supervisor' lead
- Potential to present portions of media plans to direct client and core team
- Provide opportunities for Assistants to present research and competitive findings to core team, and client when prepared
REQUIREMENTS
- 2-3+ years of experience required
- Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college/university - degree in Marketing, Advertising preferred
- Solid knowledge of media resources, terminology and applications
- Base understanding of all media types, including Social, Digital, OLV/CTV, TV, Radio, Outdoor, Search, Commerce and Display; emphasis in Digital, OLV/CTV and Social preferred
- Experience assisting in cross-channel planning, full-funnel planning
- Experience assisting in performance campaigns preferred
- Ability to comfortably communicate with clients and vendors
- Strong numerical aptitude and accuracy
- Superior written and verbal communication skills
- “Self-starter”, strong organizational skills, ability to prioritize workloads
- Motivated to work in a team environment that promotes collaboration
- Experience employing innovative thinking and development of creative strategic solutions
