About The Role
We're on a mission to make higher education more accessible and inclusive for everyone, regardless of their background. We're looking for a Junior Content Coordinator to join our Marketing and Communications Team. In this role, you’ll play a key part in creating and managing content across our digital platforms, including our website and social media channels. You'll work closely with the Senior Content Manager and Social Media Manager to ensure that our content is accurate, engaging, and aligns with our brand guidelines. You’ll also help manage our digital assets to keep our content library organized and easily accessible.
Key Responsibilities
Website Content Support:
- Collaborate with the Senior Content Manager to publish blog posts on our website, following established procedures and schedules.
- Assist with interviews, copywriting, and editing to enhance blog content.
- Optimize existing blog content to boost engagement and SEO performance.
- Review and proofread website content to ensure accuracy and consistency with our brand guidelines.
- Conduct quality assurance checks to identify and correct any content errors.
- Update web pages with new content as needed to keep information current and relevant.
Social Media Content Support
- Contribute to the creation of social media content, including writing captions, selecting images, and creating videos, ensuring brand consistency.
- Work with the Social Media Manager to update and maintain the editorial calendar.
Digital Asset Management Support
- Assist in transferring digital assets, such as images, videos, and documents, to our Digital Asset Management (DAM) system.
- Accurately tag and categorize assets to facilitate easy retrieval and organization.
- Regularly review and update asset tags and metadata to maintain the integrity of the DAM system.
Requirements
- 2-4 years of experience in content creation, including social media content writing.
- Proven experience in writing, editing, and proofreading content.
- Familiarity with publishing blog posts and managing editorial calendars.
- Experience with Canva or similar design tools.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, and basic graphic design skills.
- Experience with social media publishing tools such as Sprout, Sprinklr, or Hootsuite.
- Ability to quickly learn and adapt to content management systems (CMS) and digital asset management systems (DAM).
- Knowledge of SEO best practices and content optimization techniques.
- Experience working remotely and strong communication skills for interacting with a remote team.
