Job Overview: The Director of Business Intelligence (BI) and Development is responsible for shaping and executing the company’s BI strategy, leading a team of analytics and development professionals, and ensuring the delivery of actionable insights that support organizational goals. The Director will work closely with company executives and stakeholders to align BI initiatives with business objectives and drive informed decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute the overall BI and Development strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Lead and mentor a high-performing team of BI and development professionals, fostering a culture of innovation and process excellence.
- Oversee the design, implementation, and optimization of BI infrastructure, including SQL tables, OLAP cubes, and data marts.
- Ensure data governance policies are established and maintained, with a focus on data accuracy, integrity, and compliance.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into BI solutions that facilitate strategic decision-making.
- Lead the design and development of dashboards, reports, and data visualizations to support business operations.
- Drive the adoption of self-service analytics tools and promote the use of automation across the organization.
- Manage the ongoing assessment of external technical consultants' contributions and explore alternatives to optimize resources.
- Support the application development team, which includes admins, analysts, developers, and project managers, in their BI and development efforts.
- Ensure continuous improvement of BI processes, including data mining, analysis, and report tuning, to enhance performance and value delivery.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field; advanced technical credentials preferred.
- 7+ years of progressive IT experience, including a supervisory role, with a strong focus on BI strategy, data governance, and agile development.
- Advanced knowledge of MS BI stack, including SSIS, SSAS, SSRS, and experience with SQL relational tables, OLAP cubes, and data marts.
- Hands-on experience with data visualization tools, particularly MS Power BI, and data ingestion from various sources.
- Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing technical teams.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of interacting effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience with UKG Pro, Workday, Salesforce, and Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems is preferred.
