What will you do? (there is lots more on this…in a nutshell…)
As Agile Project Manager you will be at the forefront of managing and coordinating several cross-functional teams, driving seamless collaboration, and ensuring the timely delivery of project increments. Your primary focus will be on leading Agile ceremonies, such as sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, to maintain alignment with initiative goals and milestones. In addition, you will facilitate project management reporting, ensuring that all key stakeholders are kept informed on progress, risks, dependencies, intake forms, while supporting Product managers with the reporting elements necessary for informed decision making. You will play a crucial role in facilitating communication across teams, documenting, and addressing impediments, managing risks, and fostering an environment of continuous improvement, ultimately leading the teams to delivery of successful business outcomes.
- Accountable, alongside the teams, for achieving release objectives and delivering results that meet stakeholders’ needs and expectations.
- Establish and maintain effective project routines, facilitate, and plan ceremonies aligned with Bank’s EIMF (Enterprise Initiative Management Framework), and ensure clear, concise, and timely communication across initiatives’ deliverables.
- Proactively identify, document, and manage risks, issues, dependencies, with clear mitigation plans to ensure teams’ and projects’ success.
- Proactively log intake requests from business stakeholders into appropriate backlog.
- Consistently report teams’ progress and accomplishments to various stakeholders, including upwards and across, highlighting achievements, risks, dependencies, and impediments.
- Motivate, coach, and mentor teams, when required, to achieve continuous improvement through Agile best practices, enhancing teams’ performance and outcomes.
- Facilitate key agile ceremonies, e.g., product demos, sprint planning, retrospectives, scrum of scrums to ensure alignment across the teams. Actively manage and resolve internal and external dependencies, applying critical thinking and problem-solving to develop innovative solutions to ongoing challenges teams face with.
- Demonstrate importance of Benefit Realization by understanding benefit profiles and facilitating the benefit tracking process (Planview tool) to ensure alignment to stated business outcomes and strategic objective of the organization.
If you are right for his role, you probably have:
- 5+ years of experience in Financial Institution (FI) project delivery as an Agile Project Manager.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) Designation, CSM II certification.
- Knowledge and interest about Change Management.
- In-depth understanding of Agile Project Management workflows, and practices including milestones, critical path, product, and sprint backlogs, workback schedules, and release burndown charts.
- Experience in Banking/Financial Industry.
- Proficiency in tools as Jira, Confluence, and SharePoint, CSM I certification.
- Strong prioritization skills, with a focus on delivering business outcomes through effective decision-making and a commitment to continuous improvement.
- Proven ability to embrace diverse responsibilities, proactively step in where needed, and contribute beyond defined roles, while maintaining a strong focus on supporting team members.
- This is a hybrid role that requires on-site presence three days a week.
- Good understanding of Agile at Scale practices.
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PPT).
Nice-to-have Skills
- Great understanding of Agile at Scale practices and ability to apply the framework.
- Knowledge of working with MS Project, Planview, Asana.
- Undergraduate degree (preferred) – Preferably in Business, Technology or Financial Services.
- Knowledge of OKRs framework.
