About the job:
The Social Media Manager will create and nurture our client's online social presence, particularly in engaging new mothers and fostering brand advocacy. This role involves managing all social media activities and being a great storyteller: leading our ambassador program, scoping influencers, partnering with other brands, planning activations, and spearheading engaging content ideas.
Responsibilities
- Strategy: Partner with Director of Growth Marketing & eCommerce to define our client's social media vision and strategy - from always-on content and seasonal/product campaigns, to learning agendas and channel allocations - all in service of driving brand discovery and customer engagement.
- Social Media Management: Develop and implement social media strategies across various social platforms (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, etc.). Responsible for regular posting, engaging with the audience through comments and messages, and maintaining a consistent brand voice.
- Ambassador Program Leadership: Lead and develop our ambassador program targeting new mothers who love our client's mission and products. Focus on recruiting, training, and engaging these advocates to amplify our client's brand presence and values.
- Community Engagement: Foster a strong, interactive online community. Respond promptly and empathetically to community queries and feedback, ensuring a positive brand experience.
- Content Creation: Collaborate with the content team to create compelling, relevant content that resonates with our client's target audience, driving engagement and brand loyalty.
- Analytics and Reporting: Monitor, analyze, and report on social media performance and community engagement metrics. Use insights to refine strategies and tactics.
- Event Management: Organize and manage online events, webinars, or live Q&A sessions to increase brand engagement and community involvement.
- Influencer Collaboration: Identify and collaborate with influencers in the maternal and baby care space to extend brand reach.
- Crisis Management: Handle any online crises or negative feedback professionally, maintaining the brand's reputation.
- Market Research: Stay abreast of industry trends and competitor activities, contributing insights for strategy development.
- Internal Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, sales, and product development teams to ensure a cohesive brand strategy and message. Partner on paid Social strategies.
- Travel: The Social Media Manager will be required to travel for influencer and community events.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or higher
- 5 years+ working for a consumer-packaged goods company in a similar role, including direct experience managing social media accounts for a company.
- Knowledgeable about digital PR and social marketing, with a solid understanding of how to create engaging experiences and articulate them through a multitude of social, digital, and mobile channels.
- Strong understanding of social media and the kind of content that drives engagement, as well as a pulse on trending topics, and how to grow a passionate community.
- Expert understanding of Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok.
- Deep experience on influencer marketing programs and seeding products to content creators.
- Analytical mindset and passion for finding and implementing solutions that will deliver results.
- Able to create reports for social media analytics and Google Analytics.
