Network Administrator
We are a dedicated team responsible for ensuring the seamless operation of our network systems, focusing on both Data and Voice performance. Our environment requires a proactive and technically skilled Network Administrator who can handle day-to-day network monitoring, assist in troubleshooting issues, and collaborate with Network Engineers to maintain optimal network performance.
Job Overview:
The Network Administrator will be responsible for supporting the operational health of our network infrastructure, with a particular focus on troubleshooting, network alerts, and collaboration on special networking projects. This role involves working closely with Network Engineers to ensure network systems are online, available, and functioning correctly. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in network monitoring, support, and voice technologies, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and support network devices to ensure the stability and performance of the network.
- Experience supporting network devices deployed in SDWAN environments.
- Respond to and troubleshoot network alerts, including issues related to network hardware, connectivity, and Data/Voice Latency.
- Provide Tier 2 & 3 support, handling escalations from the Service Desk.
- Collaborate with Network Engineers to maintain and troubleshoot network systems.
- Assist in the installation and support of phone systems, including Cisco Call Manager, Teams Voice, and AT&T Office @ Hand.
- Maintain an inventory of spare network hardware to ensure readiness for any hardware failures.
- Participate in special networking projects, contributing technical expertise and support.
- Work after hours as necessary to minimize business interruptions and provide non-business hour support, both remote and onsite.
Qualifications:
- 1-2 years of hands-on experience with monitoring and support of network devices.
- 1-2 years of experience in a NOC environment or handling Tier 2 network escalations.
- Experience with voice technologies.
- Strong understanding of networks, routing, switching, and related protocols.
- Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop creative and flexible solutions.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical information in simple terms.
