• Processing weekly in-house payroll for 600 union employees and prepare checks for distribution
• Enter Field new hires information into the payroll system
• Review time sheets and wage computations to detect and reconcile pay discrepancies
• Process manual checks as needed; adjustment, shortages, and layoffs
• Prepare and submit weekly certified payroll reports and all other labor compliance reporting
• Review of and compliance with all EDD audit
• Answering employee questions and concerns regarding payroll
• Working with a high volume of paperwork and confidential information
• Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities needed:
• 2-3 years related work experience.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to recognize discrepancies.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Strong work ethic - willing to do whatever it takes to get the job done and done correctly while meeting strict deadlines
• Collaborative working style and strong team player
• Proficiency with MS Excel
Preferred:
• Associate’s degree
• Experience working with Viewpoint Vista software and B2W software
• Union payroll processing experience
• Previous work in the construction industry
Uses Vista Platform for payroll and VERY strong Excel needed
