Systems Administrator
Duration: Full-Time Role
Location: Powell, TN
Schedule: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm
- onsite for the first 90 days then hybrid (3 days onsite, 2 days remote)
Insight Global is partnering with a leading healthcare manufacturing company in hiring a skilled Junior Network Engineer to join their team. This role involves building and maintaining servers, managing phone systems, and providing user support. Each day brings new challenges and opportunities for growth.
- Server Management: Build and maintain server infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance.
- Phone System Maintenance: Maintain the deployed VoIP phone system, including deactivating and reactivating user phones.
- User Support: Handle user-related tasks, such as managing phone deactivations and reactivations, which will constitute approximately 80% of your time.
- Daily Server Checks: Perform daily checks on servers and address any issues that arise.
- Ticket Escalation: Manage and resolve escalated tickets from the help desk, with around 10 tickets assigned per day.
- Project Involvement: Contribute to projects by building and testing servers and applications.
- Help Desk Support: Act as the next step after the help desk, providing advanced support and troubleshooting.
Desired Skills and Experience:
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Teams, OneDrive, Email), including troubleshooting, adding licenses, setting up users, and editing user access via the 365 Portal.
- 2+ years of experience as a Systems Administrator.
- Active Directory Experience.
- Strong phone system experience.
- Strong experience in server management, including building and troubleshooting servers.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Virtualization experience with platforms such as Cisco, Nutanix, HyperV, or VMware.
