(CSI) is a woman-owned small business based in Ithaca, New York, with over 30 years of experience offering professional consulting services to nonprofit and public sector organizations. CSI’s founders developed the Group Concept Mapping (GCM) research methodology, and CSI delivers expert Group Concept Mapping training and consulting. CSI also owns and licenses the proprietary web-based application, groupwisdom™, which collects, analyzes, and visualizes data for Group Concept Mapping studies and program development initiatives.
The Client Services Manager will initiate and facilitate communications for CSI’s consulting and groupwisdom™ product lines. Responsibilities will include consulting project management and outreach, marketing, and sales for groupwisdom™. The Manager will have a key role in client relationship management and ensuring successful project execution. This position requires a meticulous professional with strong communications skills and a desire to learn and share the Group Concept Mapping methodology.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Consulting Client Services and Project Management
- Function as the primary contact for clients, managing communication and ensuring timely responses to inquiries, requests, and concerns.
- Work closely with consulting teams to oversee project timelines, milestones, and deliverables; coordinate staffing; and ensure alignment with client expectations.
- Provide general administrative assistance, including preparing project documentation, organizing client meetings, and managing logistical needs.
- Join the marketing and sales team in developing innovative outreach strategies to capture new leads and engage prospective consulting clients.
groupwisdom™ Sales Communications
- Conduct outreach to prospective groupwisdom™ clients and manage ongoing relationships to sell groupwisdom licenses and promote client satisfaction and retention.
- Maintain accurate groupwisdom™ client records and interactions within Salesforce, ensuring data integrity and accessibility for the team.
- Assist in onboarding new clients, guiding them through the initial setup of groupwisdom™ and providing necessary support and resources.
- Develop innovative outreach strategies to engage prospective groupwisdom™ clients and use content development and email marketing tools including Canva, Constant Contact, Salesforce, and OpenAI to develop content and implement campaigns.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a client-facing role within a consulting, Software as a Service (SaaS), or related company working with nonprofit and public organizations.
- Strong interest in developing your understanding of the Group Concept Mapping research methodology and applying that understanding to support clients.
- Experience developing and executing marketing or sales campaigns including email and social media outreach.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring successful delivery on time and within scope.
- Experience with Salesforce, Canva, Constant Contact, Salesforce, OpenAI, or related marketing, outreach, and content creation tools.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey information to clients and internal teams.
- A demonstrated commitment to client satisfaction and the ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
- Strong attention to detail, particularly in managing client data and project documentation.
- Comfort with technology and learning new software. Concept Systems will provide training in Group Concept Mapping and the use of groupwisdom™.
- Bachelor’s degree required; master’s preferred.
Location
This will be an on-site role in CSI’s offices on the beautiful Ithaca Commons in Ithaca, NY.
Compensation
This is a full-time, 40 hours per week role. The hourly pay range will be between $26.00 and $30.00. CSI staff working 25 hours per week or more receive health, dental, and vision insurance. All staff receive life insurance, long-term disability, Simple IRA with 2% employer match, annual leave, personal/sick leave, paid holidays, and paid time off to volunteer in the community. Additionally, statutory benefits include Short-Term Disability, Paid Family Leave, and Workers’ Compensation.
