Our trusted client seeks a
Data Center Resident Engineer – Juniper XLAN to join their team!
- Title: Data Center Resident Engineer – Juniper XLAN
- Duration: 12 month – 18 Months
- Location: 100% Remote
- Start Date: Mid-September
- Working Hours: 8am – 4pm Eastern
Job Summary: Data Center Resident Engineer – Juniper XLAN installs, maintains and repairs customer approved hardware and software; provides 2ND / 3rd level technical and troubleshooting assistance to customer inquiries, all in a manner that builds customer trust and confidence.
Responsibilities:
- Installs, or assists in installation, of approved hardware, software & peripheral components Juniper XLAN
- Maintains & repairs technological equipment & peripheral devices Juniper XLAN
- Performs regular system updates
- Responds to customer inquiries and requests
- Escalates queries not resolved within appropriate timeframe
- Documents customer interactions using designated programs & procedures
Qualifications:
- Ability to communicate effectively, both oral and written - this is a requirement
- Active Listening Skills with ability to build strong working relationships, internal and external to the organization.
- Strong Sense of Urgency & Commitment to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form.
- 7 + years Juniper XLAN Data Center Engineer Experience in Large Enterprise Environment
- 7 + years combination of knowledge and experience supporting Juniper XLAN
- 7 + years’ experience with IT ticketing system
- Excellent Organizational & time management skills
- Strong troubleshooting and documentation skills
- Strong customer service skills
- Strong ability to embrace & gain competence in new technologies
Work Environment:
- May manage many projects at one time and may be interrupted frequently to meet the needs and requests of clients.
- The work environment will frequently be hectic and busy, and the little to none travel
- Work location is remote. No travel anticipated.
