We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the global implementation of a Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS), with a preference for candidates experienced in STARLIMS. In this role, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of the LIMS integration across multiple sites and regions, ensuring seamless implementation and compliance with industry standards. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leading global LIMS projects within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or life sciences sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee the global implementation of LIMS, with a focus on STARLIMS, ensuring successful deployment across multiple sites
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, Quality, Lab Operations, and Regulatory Compliance, to define project requirements, timelines, and deliverables
- Develop and execute detailed project plans, including scope, objectives, resources, schedules, and budgets
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all LIMS implementation activities, coordinating with regional stakeholders and ensuring alignment with global strategies
- Manage system configuration, data migration, and system validation to ensure the LIMS solution meets the needs of various labs and complies with regulatory standards
- Provide hands-on guidance and support to teams during system setup, testing, and troubleshooting
- Ensure alignment with global regulatory requirements (e.g., FDA, GxP) and internal quality standards during the LIMS integration
- Conduct user training sessions, develop comprehensive user manuals, and provide ongoing support for LIMS users post-implementation
- Monitor project progress, report on key metrics, and manage risks to ensure timely and successful project delivery
- Drive continuous improvement efforts by identifying areas for optimization in the global LIMS rollout and utilization
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Life Sciences, Engineering, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience managing LIMS implementation projects, preferably with STARLIMS
- Experience with global or multi-site software integration projects, ideally within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or life sciences industries
- Strong understanding of laboratory operations and regulatory standards (e.g., GxP, FDA)
- Proven ability to manage complex projects, including budgeting, resource allocation, and stakeholder communication
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with experience managing global, cross-functional teams
- Familiarity with system validation, data migration, and software testing processes
- PMP or equivalent project management certification is a plus
