We are seeking a temporary Senior Producer join our Los Angeles team in helping drive results across various creative touchpoints for our clients (and our Agency). The assignment is expected to last from 10/7/2024 to 2/21/25. Specific experience with Conferences and not limited to, Conference Strategy, Stage Management, Live Show Production, Content Production & Management, Breakouts, Receptions, Registration, Photo Moments, Offsite Programming, and all production aspects.
As a Sr. Producer, your primary role will be managing the event budget, vendor acquisition, and line producers beneath you. You will work closely with the Lead Designer and Account Manager under direction from the Executive Producer to ensure the project is tracking accordingly and client expectations are met. This producer must have prior experience working at an experiential agency and producing B2B conferences. Stage management and love show production knowledge is a must. At the end of the contract term, there is potential for full-time hire, with a hybrid remote schedule in our Los Angeles office.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
● Actualize and execute multiple events simultaneously (pending scale), ensuring that the associated project plan timeline is on track and deadlines are met.
● Manage event budget creation, implementation, expense tracking and management, and reporting.
● Take Profit & Loss responsibility for each project assignment, under direction of Directors/Executive Producers; manage Vendors and Clients to maintain profit, positive relationships and standards of execution.
● Lead production teams in preparing and presenting proposals to Clients, particularly in budgeting and sourcing of proposed concepts.
● Be the primary resource and focal point for all event-related matters.
● Lead Negotiation with vendors to achieve higher caliber service and/or cost savings on behalf of Client.
● Effectively communicate status of all projects to Directors on a timely, ongoing basis.
● Anticipate areas of risk and implement creative solutions.
● Knowledge of company processes, policies, and monitoring adherence by staff.
● Procure permits, civic documents, and all other Permits / Paperwork required for events.
● Prepare documents for events, including run-of-show, production schedules (load in/load out), stage management, scripts etc.
● Manage/create Production Schedules and oversee on-site logistics.
● Create staffing plans for on-site production and communicate Roles & Responsibilities clearly and efficiently.
● Lead teams and vendors during on-site production with confidence, exhibiting a positive attitude
● Oversee reconciliation of vendor invoices, receipts and change-orders and submission to Finance in a timely manner.
● Assign staff procurement of all necessary vendor and/or venue COI’s as per event and venue requirements.
Manage Event-planning / Staff Team Management / Leadership
● Demonstrate leadership, expertise, management, and consultation skills when conducting business with Clients, Vendors, and Shiraz Creative team members.
● Empower team members through efficient delegation.
● Assign individual responsibilities/set deadlines to production staff (including interns).
● Be a resource for producers’ questions on execution of events and ideas.
● Actively participate and contribute to department meetings, trainings, initiatives, and committees.
● Train and mentor junior members of the team.
● Collaborate with EP and Directors on client and partner communication, challenges, and solutions.
● Hire and manage local teams of part-time event staff (production assistants, brand ambassadors, specialists) as needed.
● Collaborate with Directors and/or Senior Leadership on producing and creative team assignments.
Client Services
Sr. Producers may be tasked with supporting Client Services; larger scale projects will have a dedicated Client Services lead
● Work with clients to establish scale and vision of event.
● Schedule regular calls to solicit ongoing client feedback to set/revise goals and next steps to ensure client expectations are exceeded.
● Communicate Budget implications timely and effectively.
Required Skills, Experience, and Qualifications
● 5-7 Years of Experiential Event Production with experience managing budgets ranging from $100K - $4MM
○ Specific experience with Conferences and not limited to, Conference Strategy, Stage Management, Live Show Production, Content Production & Management, Breakouts, Receptions, Registration, Photo Moments, Offsite Programming, and all production aspects.
● Experience in agency and/or production business.
● Attention to detail & and ability to multi-task.
● Effectively manage a high volume of work and consistently provide a high quality of work output.
● Exhibit strong critical thinking, multi-tasking, and problem-solving capabilities.
● Keen awareness of event industry activity and the ability to create and develop out of the box events.
● Ability to work effectively under pressure with tight deadlines and adapt to unforeseen circumstances.
● Must be willing and able to work nonstandard work hours and/or weekends/holidays as required.
● Role requires ability to lift up to 25 pounds and be on their feet for multiple hours as part of storage management, on-site load-in and load-out as well as event execution.
● Position may require travel time of up to 30%.

Other Qualifications:
● Proficient in use of Microsoft Office 365, Google and Adobe Suites.
● Proficiency in complex Fabrication and knowledge of Structural Builds - Sr. Producers should be able to evaluate, troubleshoot, and understand a build from start to finish including construction strategy, materials, and cost efficiencies.
● Knowledge of Monday, Slack and AutoCAD a plus.
