Summary:
The marketing coordinator’s job is to raise awareness that drives sales. This is to be accomplished through the development and execution of various plans and strategies. The marketing coordinator is to stay informed about the market, industry trends, and the competitive landscape, while helping strategize and implement marketing, branding, and advertising plans. Daily, the coordinator will create or coordinate content, track results, build relationships with influencers, and otherwise support all marketing strategies. This is a redefined role within the organization, which allows the individual the opportunity to work on various marketing projects as well as being integral in new product development.
Responsibilities:
· Market products by developing and implementing marketing and advertising campaigns.
· Design and create marketing material utilizing appropriate software for print, website or social media.
· Design and create brochures, catalogs, labels and retail packaging utilizing appropriate software.
· Submit ideas for experimental marketing programs designed to enhance and grow the company’s brand.
· Write and edit content for different platforms such as social media, website, and press releases.
· Manage SEO/SEM, PIM/marketing database, email, images, social media and/or display advertising information.
· Employ marketing analytics techniques to gather important data (social media, web analytics, rankings, etc.).
· Identify target audiences and devise digital campaigns that engage, inform, and motivate them to purchase.
· Support sales staff by providing sales data, market trends, and new product information.
· Research competitive products by identifying and evaluating product characteristics, market share, pricing, and advertising.
· Keep promotional materials ready by coordinating requirements with graphics vendors, inventorying stock, placing orders, and verifying receipt.
· Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and reading trade publications.
· Explore opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
Experience/Skills:
· Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Advertising, or related creative marketing discipline.
· Strong copywriting and verbal communication skills.
· Basic knowledge of website and marketing analytics tools.
· Basic photography and photoshop skills.
· Proficient in using Adobe Illustrator or relevant computer software.
· Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript development and constraints.
· Basic market research skills.
· Superior organizational and time management skills.
· Highly creative.
· Minimal travel is required (10% to 15%).
