About The Role
As an Associate, you will specialize in strategic foresight engagements and have the opportunity to work alongside and collaborate with an eclectic mix of innovation, brand, qual and quant professionals from across Kantar.
The Associate role is an intensive training ground to building consulting, marketing, and sales skills. Associates bring open-mindedness and challenge our status quo. They fully engage in our business, taking on project roles to grow their skills. With guidance and support, they contribute to quality client deliverables.
This role sits within an award-winning team that is recognized for its unique approaches and shown client impact by Kantar globally and will be well-suited to individuals who are eager to influence the direction of the practice for Kantar through offer innovation, business development, and unparalleled client delivery.
The Associate will be a significant force in driving our business forward:
- Handling multiple, simultaneous projects and supporting more senior-level consultants to ensure high-quality client deliverables
- Contributing to client engagements through the delivery of high-quality work to team members and demonstrating green shoots of critical thinking and storytelling
- Analyzing proprietary Kantar consumer data and external sources to identify, interpret and translate it for use in our foresight/scenario, innovation, and brand strategy projects
- Synthesizing data from a wide variety of sources and distill relevant insights into strategic recommendations for our clients (e.g., marketing communications, brand strategy/positioning, consumer targeting, corporate strategy, innovation and new product/service development, category or portfolio strategy, etc.)
- Scouting trends, cultural shifts and product inspiration to identify opportunities for growth
- Contributing to collaborative brainstorms, creative ideation and problem-solving
- Presenting future-facing insights, implications and recommendations to our clients

Essential Capabilities
- Work experience: 1-2 years’ work experience, with experience in a trend / foresight / innovation consultancy or comparable work experience a plus
- Time Management: Ability to support multiple projects at once, managing your own time effectively and able to work independently to effectively complete briefed tasks
- Delivery of strategic outputs: Ability to add value to client deliverables by conducting research, identifying quality insights, developing compelling presentations, and playing an active role in client briefings, meetings and workshops.
- Storytelling: Ability to synthesize and translate data (soft and hard) from primary research and other sources into a cohesive and compelling storyline; excellent written and verbal communication skills with a creative approach to storytelling and visual presentation of information; ability to think strategically and support the development of insights, implications and recommendations for our clients

- Semiotics/Cultural Insights: Experience helping distill where culture is headed and how this shows up visually through emerging design, fashion, branding, and other visual media
- Innovation: Experience of strategic front-end innovation methodologies, from opportunity scoping and development to ideation and facilitation

The salary range for this role in New York is 72,800.00 - 121,400.00 USD Annual. Your final base salary will be determined based on several factors which may include but are not limited to location, work experience, skills, knowledge, education and/or certifications.
