Are you known for your wit? Your obsession with internet culture? Your brilliantly crafted copy? Paradowski is looking for a Copywriter to help us transform a global client’s brands into some of the most buzzworthy, charismatic and socially relevant properties on social media.
About half of your time will be spent on social content – using your storytelling skills to remix user-generated content, brainstorm memes, and write videos designed to entertain – with the rest spent engaging directly with direct messages, comments and proactive opportunities from the community.
Successful candidates will have a passion for pushing the boundaries of social media to reach client goals, collaborating with strategy, creative, and technology colleagues to turn good ideas into great ones. No surprise here, but excellent time management, written and verbal communication skills are a must.
Applicants for this role must live in the greater St. Louis region or be willing to relocate.
What You’ll Do: - Grow our client’s brands' presence and reputation across social channels
- Serve as the voice of our client's brands, embodying a consistent character and tone, and understanding when it’s appropriate to adjust to meet specific channel/audience needs
- Concept and write memorable social content that aligns with brand messaging and content goals
- Quickly identify and act on opportunities for our client’s brands to participate in relevant social trends and respond creatively to current events
- Pitch creative ideas internally and to clients
- Respond to social media community interactions and proactively engage with brand audiences in a timely manner with smart, well-crafted, compelling copy
- Work directly with internal teams to create and implement dynamic approaches to engagement
- Escalate content as needed and ensure alerts are properly addressed
Must-Haves:- At least three years of copywriting experience, ideally with examples of comedic writing in your portfolio (or your cover letter).
- An ability to think beyond “copy” and conceptually develop new ideas to set our client apart.
- A passion for staying on top of emerging trends and sharing that knowledge with colleagues.
- Familiarity and experience with social media platforms like Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, Pinterest and TikTok. It’s okay if your knowledge and love varies platform to platform.
- The ability to pick up new tools quickly. This position will require the use of Sprinklr, but we’ll train you on the platform.
- The ability to meet deadlines while executing multiple projects.
Nice-to-Haves:These aren’t deal-breakers – standout writing will take priority above all other requirements – but let us know if any of the following apply to you:
- Familiarity with social media management tools such as or similar to Sprinklr, Emplifi, Oktopost, Sprout Social, Hootsuite, etc.
- Experience with B2B and B2C social media
- Experience with paid social media
- Experience with crisis management and engagement escalation, including security and safety concerns
- Familiarity with programs like CapCut, Canva, After Effects, Photoshop, or whatever you use to make fun, beautiful, entertaining things (you tell us!). Design isn’t a formal function of this role, but we know that social storytelling often turns great writers into hybrid creators.
