THE OPPORTUNITY
IL MAKIAGE is looking for a highly motivated Content & Email Copywriter to join our New York-based team. You will collaborate closely with the Product and Marketing team to execute on a variety of compelling copy - from product naming, to PDP, to social media and email. As a copywriter for IL MAKIAGE, you will be the voice behind our brand messaging and storytelling for both new and existing products.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Write creative and compelling copy for website, social, and emails, translating brand voice and story into effective copy across all channels
- Develop accurate and convincing communications for new product launches across channels
- Collaborate with Marketing, Social Media, and Product teams to ensure copy is aligned with brand voice, product goals, and marketing channels
- Ensure SEO optimization to increase visibility and engagement
WHO YOU ARE
- Bachelor's Degree in English, Communications, or related field of study
- 2+ years of copywriting experience, preferably within the beauty, retail, or consumer goods space
- Experience in writing short, converting copy in Email and SMS marketing channels with proven results
- Knowledgeable in developing clever and effective product names, PDP, email, and social media copy
- Able to capture brand voice and identity throughout copy, while maintaining efficacy for customer conversion and retention
- Comfortable working independently, with strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Knowledgeable of SEO and eCommerce communication best practices
- Preferred: New-York based, though remote work is also a possibility
