Quality Manager manages the QMS integral to tubular products sold to customers. He/she will Identify and analyze user requirements and recommend appropriate applications or modifications for processing quality products & processes.
Working Conditions
Working conditions are normal for office and manufacturing environment; hot when weather is hot and cold when weather is cold. Greasy, dirty and noisy environment. Work involves lifting, pulling and/or pushing of materials and product up to 30 pounds. Standing and walking considerable distances. Operation requires the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) to include but not limited to, eye safety glasses, hearing protection, work boots, and hardhats. Loose fitting clothes and jewelry are not permitted.
1.1. A minimum of 3 years of experience in a management / supervision role and a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a quality department.
1.2. A college degree
1.3. Capable of working MS office, advanced skills in Excel and ability to adapt to ERP systems.
1.4. Ability to organize vast amounts of data and multitask several priorities with excellence time management. Attention to detail, organizational skills, discretion and proven coaching skills required.
1.5. Knowledgeable experience with the latest edition of API & ISO requirements
1.6. Must coordinate last minute project-based work and details as well as the ability to travel.
2.1. Maintain ongoing contact with staff members of API, third party personnel, quality consultants, and customers.
2.2. Maintain a continual improvement of the product & process throughout the entire organization.
2.3. Development of raw material specifications according to final product requirements. Supplier performance monitoring, development and management.
2.4. Processing of complaints and claims for Borusan Mannesmann Pipe U.S. and those from customers.
2.5. Maintain Metallurgical Lab functions and acquire resources to provide up to date technology and compliance
2.6. NDT compliance, and continuous inspection improvement.
2.7. Quality and non-quality cost management in incoming inspections, process controls, product inspections. Implements technology developments in inspection, process control, products and processes to eliminate human error.
2.8. Disposition off-site Quality Issues that may be of concern to Borusan Mannesmann Pipe U.S.
2.9. Product specifications and technical sales/marketing support.
2.10. Product performance testing and product audits.
2.11. Field services, customer claims and internal quality problem solving.
2.12. API and other technical organization representation.
2.13. Quality system management. Auditing of systems, processes and suppliers.
2.14. Coaching and team management.
3.1. Provide Internal Audits for Borusan Mannesmann Pipe U.S. and External Audits of Outsourced processors
3.2. Provide Monthly Status Reports
3.3. Supervise customer claims and customer claim process from quality perspective.
3.4. Manage and Maintain the Non-Conformance Log.
3.5. Review and Approve Work Orders.
3.6. Provide technical sales support by customer visits and plant tours.
3.7. Revise, review and approve QA department organization and personnel decisions according to customer and business feedback.
3.8. Other duties as assigned.
- Authority and Obligation:
4.1. Direct authority over Quality Departments and personnel.
4.2. This position has the authority to stop operations for any safety or quality related issues.
