The Role:
As a Virtual Medical Office Coordinator at Ginger Desk, you'll manage remote front desks for multiple healthcare practices. Utilizing your expertise in Electronic Medical Records (EMRs), particularly Jane, you'll handle patient communications, appointments, billing, and other administrative tasks securely and confidentially. Candidates with a College Diploma in Medical Office Administration or relevant experience are encouraged to apply.
This is a full-time, remote position within the PST time zone, requiring 35 hours per week (Monday to Friday).
Training & Development:
We provide comprehensive training through Ginger University, focusing on compliance, EMR proficiency (Jane, Practice Better, Charm), and optimizing practitioner support. You'll join a supportive VA network, enhancing your skills and operational efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in brick-and-mortar allied health settings (e.g., working with doctors, nurses, chiropractors, speech pathologists, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, medical laboratory technologists, dental hygienists, pharmacists etc.)
- Proficiency in Jane App is essential; familiarity with Practice Better and Charm is advantageous.
- Experience in extended health billing; familiarity with WorkSafe BC and ICBC is a bonus.
- Post-Secondary Education.
- Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and adaptability in fast-paced environments.
- Previous remote work experience with a secure, private internet connection and dedicated workspace.
- Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., Asana, Trello, Monday) is beneficial.
- Mastery of Google Workspace, including Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Docs, and Google Sheets.
- Additional proficiency in digital tools such as email management systems, communication platforms, project management platforms, and digital phone systems is advantageous.
- Ability to manage multiple clinic tasks independently yet collaboratively.
Compensation & Benefits:
Ginger Desk offers a competitive salary range of $41,860 to $50,960 annually for Virtual Medical Office Coordinators, commensurate with experience and impact. In addition, we provide stock options and prioritize career development, ensuring equitable compensation and fostering growth opportunities for our team members.
Location: Fully Remote - Open to candidates across Canada who are comfortable with working on the Pacific/Eastern time zones.
Job Hours: Full-time, 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, that falls typically b/w 8:30am - 5:30pm with a 1-hour lunch break.
