As a Medical Clerk, you will play an important role in ensuring that healthcare claims are accurate and efficiently processed. Your responsibilities will include reviewing final claims, combining necessary documents, and communicating with healthcare providers. Attention to detail is key in this role as you will be handling sensitive patient information.
Key Responsibilities
- Review final claims folders before submission to insurance companies.
- Combine documents online and send them via electronic fax to various healthcare providers.
- Ensure accuracy by comparing claim amounts and resolving discrepancies.
- Answer emails from offices and insurance companies regarding claim statuses.
- Utilize problem-solving skills to research and resolve claim inconsistencies.
What We're Looking For
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and general Windows navigation.
- Strong multi-tasking skills with the ability to manage multiple windows at once.
- A self-starter who is comfortable asking questions and seeking clarification when needed.
- Ability to type 40+ words per minute.
- Alpha and 10-key keystroke ability (8,000-10,000 kph) with 90%+ accuracy.
- Strong attention to detail and focus to ensure accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Previous experience in data entry preferred.
Schedule
- Flexible training schedule: 9:00 am - 6:00 pm on-site for the first month.
- After training: 10:00 am - 7:00 pm, Monday - Friday (fully remote).
Pay Rate
$16.00 per hour
