We are currently seeking a Principal Solutions Architect to support our Service Delivery Teams. This technical role involves providing direct support to executive leads within our Agency portfolio. The Principal Solutions Architect plays a crucial role in aligning technical solutions across our organization and our clients.
This role primarily operates in a remote work environment. However, candidates should reside within driving distance of Woodlawn, MD, as occasional in-person meetings with clients may be required.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with executive and portfolio management teams to understand organizational strategies and technical capabilities.
- Identify and align technical solutions with both internal corporate goals and Agency needs.
- Offer constructive feedback, guidance, and technical expertise to service delivery teams.
- Engage with other senior technical leaders to produce white papers, use cases, and client testimonials.
- Develop and implement comprehensive technical and infrastructure strategies that align with our strategic objectives for the Agency.
- Analyze existing technical solutions provided to the Agency, identifying strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities for improvement.
- Conduct research to ensure technical strategies resonate with the intended audience.
Requirements
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in a related field.
- Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited institution (preferred).
- Proven experience in identifying and analyzing pain points and opportunities (PPOs) within customer contracts and ecosystems.
- Experience utilizing architecture best practices and industry design principles to align with customer and corporate IT strategies.
- Ability to lead the development and execution of technical roadmaps that align with business objectives and value outcomes.
- Technical leadership experience, including mentoring cloud and engineering teams.
- Expertise in ensuring scalability, security, and performance of cloud infrastructure and applications.
- Strong knowledge of industry trends, including Cloud Services, ServiceNow, Salesforce, Zero Trust, and Analytic & Data solutions.
- Experience collaborating with product management, customers, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions.
- Familiarity with Systems Architecture, Operations Engineering, and Software Development best practices, including agile, lean systems engineering, and ITIL methodologies.
- Demonstrated ability in executive-level communication and analysis of technical alternatives.
- ITIL certification or equivalent experience in engineering operations.
- Experience participating in vendor evaluations, technology assessments, and technical solutioning for Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Task Orders (TOs), and other solution activities.
- AWS and/or Azure Certification with hands-on experience in cloud provisioning, optimization, and security.

Clearance Requirements
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Clearance.
