The HRIS Senior Analyst serves as the technical point-of-contact for the assigned functional area(s) and partners with the subject matter experts to analyze business process design and flow, improve processes and leverage the return on technological investments. With limited supervision, this position builds project plans, ensures adherence to project schedule, maintains system configuration, and assists subject matter experts with ensuring data integrity, testing of system changes, reporting writing and analyzing data flows for process improvement opportunities. The HRIS Senior Analyst also supports HCM system upgrades, patches, testing and other technical projects as assigned.
Key Responsibilities (What You Contribute)
- Determines appropriate system configuration based on business requirements of the assigned functional areas and manages subsequent changes as business needs change to maintain best practices. Provides new and innovative alternative solutions to HCM system and application challenges when appropriate. Responsible for developing, testing and deploying new solutions to the HCM Systems. Ensures systems quality and data accuracy via regular audits of data; adheres to all change management and data security controls for proper process and protocols.
- Supports HRIS and project managers in the implementation of HRIS roadmap initiatives by executing necessary project tasks and adhering to timelines and quality expectations. Manages small to large projects related to assigned functional areas, including development of project plans, facilitating team meetings, and driving to successful completion of projects.
- Documents and maintains accurate and thorough end-user processes and procedures. Trains internal users, support personnel, and/or HR team members on HCM system changes and/or new procedures.
- Provides support in troubleshooting system issues, system configuration changes, system upgrade testing and perform all other duties as may be required by the needs of the business.
- Enables users within HR to effectively utilize all HR systems. Serves as a technical backup for other HCM functional areas as needed.
- Possesses comprehensive knowledge of the assigned functional area(s) and provides leadership, coaching, and/or mentoring to a subordinate group.
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities (What You're Good At)
- Associates Degree, Bachelor's preferred and 6-8 years or prior related experience
- Practical experience with Workday HCM.
- Strong analytical skills - able to evaluate complex data, identify trends and draw conclusion from the data.
- Strong understanding of technology, including software development methodologies, databases and programming languages. Experience with relational and object-oriented database management systems.
- Comprehensive knowledge of their supporting business areas, including workflow, trends, regulations and business rules, and best practices.
- Communicate clearly and concisely (verbal and written) with stakeholders, including technical and non-technical audiences.
- Proficiency in various reporting tools including but not limited to Power BI and SSRS.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize workload effectively, and adjust to changing business requirements, technologies, and project scope.
- Ability to think critically and creatively to come up with effective solutions.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality information, professional demeanor under pressure and effectively work with employees at all levels.
- High level of attention to detail to ensure accuracy and completeness of project deliverables.
- Experience working in an agile team is a plus
Pay Range: $84,300 - $141,138 based upon total years of related experience
