Job Summary:
The IT Support Specialist performs technical and administrative tasks related to hardware and software support. They provide customer service, diagnose, and resolve issues, install, and maintain devices, and assist with network troubleshooting. The specialist also contributes to documentation, trains end-users, and evaluates new products. This role requires excellent communication skills, knowledge of computer systems, and experience in desktop support.
Job Expectations
- Provide first-level technical support to end-users via tickets, chat, and email.
- Diagnose and resolve routine issues, escalating as needed.
- Assist with hardware and software standardization.
- Install and configure software on devices.
- Image, test, and set up application programs.
- Maintain hardware and software inventory and perform audits.
- Troubleshoot network and application problems.
- Onboard and offboard personnel, including equipment shipments.
- Ensure confidentiality of information.
- Interact with vendors and participate in team meetings.
- Additional duties may be assigned as needed.
