Our
Graphic Designer is a role supporting Headquarters, but will work out of our
Chicago or
Harrisburg office. It will report to our Senior Director of Marketing. This is a hybrid role with ideally 3 days/week in office.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the creation and design for a wide range of marketing-related content, including but not limited to brochures, one pagers, presentation and social media graphics, infographics, multimedia design, etc. You’ll have access to a variety of programs to do your job well.
We’re looking for someone who can thrive in a fast-paced environment and is comfortable leading design efforts and working with internal and external stakeholders regularly.
Graphic Designer Responsibilities
- Play a role in establishing the ongoing creative direction for the company. You’ll work in collaboration with the marketing team and other key stakeholders.
- Ensure projects meet established brand standards, delivering consistent, high-quality, and visually appealing collateral across all SIQ platforms.
- Prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring creative solutions meet design specifications and budget parameters.
- Act as a liaison between creative personnel and internal and external stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and alignment of business and creative goals.
- Conceptualize, refine, manage, and execute designs, illustrations, graphics, and layout of presentations, templates, and other creative marketing/advertising assets. This also includes storyboarding and execution of multimedia content.
- Lead the charge on managing and maintaining design versions and final files, all artwork components, and our imagery library.
- Serve as a design subject matter expert, collaborating closely with the team to share recommendations that enhance visual messaging based on medium or platform.
- Adhere to established timelines and budgets and ensure proactive communication with the team.
Graphic Designer Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in graphic arts, design, communications, or related field.
- 5-7 years of experience in graphic design.
- Comprehensive knowledge of layouts, graphic fundamentals, typography, print, and digital platforms, including proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Canva, and other graphic design software. Knowledge and experience in Prezi a plus. You will need to use the Microsoft Office Suite daily as well.
- Appetite for learning new design and video editing software.
- Ability to take brainstorms and ideas and quickly conceptualize into storyboards, visual outlines, and draft concepts to align with business goals and target audiences.
- Strong collaboration skills and the ability to build/maintain strong relationships across leading organizations.
- Demonstrated ability to consistently deliver high-quality deliverables and exceed performance expectations.
- Requires minimal supervision and adheres to team processes and procedures.
- Acts as a team player to implement marketing strategy and leads the creative direction for marketing initiatives.
- Compelling portfolio of work over a wide range of creative projects.
