Responsibilities
Kforce has a client that is seeking an IT Security Analyst in Washington, DC. Duties Include:
- IT Security Analyst will maintain all security tools and managing updates
- Developing new security SOPs and formalizing internal controls
- Monitoring our Managed Services Provider (MSP) to implement organization-wide security technology and developing our Security Operations Center (SOC)
- Managing internal + external policy compliance and maintaining controls for external governance (SOC2, ISO27001, GDPR)
- As a IT Security Analyst, you will be evaluating and vetting new software/technologies and implementing security controls to mitigate risk
- Managing the Security Incident Response program and developing testing plans
- Designing, maintaining, and troubleshooting the SIEM environment
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Proven experience in information security, risk management, or compliance roles
- Familiarity with SOC 2 standards and certification processes
- Strong understanding of security frameworks and best practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and Azure and one or more programming/scripting languages
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
