Job Overview
They are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Cloud Platform Engineer to join their technology team in Miami. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing cloud infrastructure solutions that support Santander’s digital transformation journey. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to build scalable, secure, and efficient cloud platforms that drive innovation and enhance our customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and Develop: Architect, develop, and manage scalable and reliable cloud-based platforms and infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP) to meet the organization’s needs.
- Automation and Optimization: Develop automation scripts and tools for managing cloud resources, optimizing performance, and minimizing costs.
- Security and Compliance: Ensure cloud platforms meet security and compliance requirements, following industry best practices and regulatory guidelines.
- Collaboration: Work closely with software development, operations, and security teams to design and implement solutions that align with business goals.
- Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Set up and maintain monitoring, alerting, and diagnostic tools to ensure system reliability and performance.
- Innovation and Research: Stay up-to-date with the latest cloud technologies, industry trends, and best practices. Recommend and implement new tools and technologies to improve platform efficiency.
- Mentorship: Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- 7+ years’ Experience with Automation, IaC, SaaS, PaaS and IaaS
- Strong hands-on experience with cloud platforms
- Proficiency in automation tools and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Terraform, Ansible).
- In-depth understanding of cloud security, networking, and infrastructure best practices.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and microservices architecture.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
